Is it a sex blog? A mommy blog? A bitch & moan blog? Um, . . . yeah. This is my place to be totally honest. In my real life, I feel like I'm always lying to somebody about something. Here, I am totally honest. Brutally so. However, no matter what bad things I say about my kids, I adore them and would never ever really, say, sell them on Ebay. The husband, often referred to as Spousehole, is another story. Oh yeah - if you are under 18 (or if you are my husband), please leave now.

Mute Monday - Year in Review

Year in Review

In March, both kids and I had strep throat. Spousehole was in California for work and missed out on all the fun of going to repeated doctor visits and having cranky, tired kids. And wife.

Summer brought bouts of mono for both kids.
All they did was lay on the couch and drink juice for quite some time.

Fall brought us a wonderful stomach bug that affected both kids,
but really brought the Boy down
He had to be hospitalized for dehydration

But there was fun too:

Boyne Falls, MI

Hanging at the splash park

At the zoo

Camping

On the shores of Lake Michigan

At the cottage

Halloween

Sleepover at Grandma's

Xmas

I can so relate to the first part of your post as I am now battling a virulent case of some kind of mysterious and tenacious gastrointestinal weirdness.

Happy healthy MM!

I glad you put the downs first. I used to get strep all the time; now I only get it every now and again. I never had my tonsils out... and I love to watch every doctor and dentist nearly piss themselves when they look into my mouth - they are huge. I call them my "Upper Testicles". C:)

Cute photos. Too bad about all the sickness, but you wont remember them later on. you WILL remember all the good stuff you listed, and that's all that matters.

Nice to see some pics of Michigan again, I was born and raised there :) I LOVED going to Boyne - such a beautiful area.

Pretty little babies you have there :) Happy MM!! Here's to a year of HEALTH and happiness to you and yours :)

The good news is that as kids grow up they get sick less. N used to have perpetual childhood illnesses of one kind or another. Now he has the occasional cold or stomach bug, neither of which generally last very long.

Your kids, BTW, are exceedingly cute. Almost as cute as N, but not quite. ;-)

It's tough when they're sick.
Here's to a healthier year.

Rough, when they get sick, and especially so when you get it as well, at the same time. But I'm glad you had the good times too, and your kids are adorable!

Here's to a year with more of the fun, and less of the illnesses!

They are just too cute!!! And I'm sure that getting all those nasty bugs right now will make them healthy adults!
Happy MM!

Th year in pictures looked more good than bad, Bunny ! Hope that the kids both stay healthy this year - it's so hard to see little ones sick.

i've had the strep, it's no fun

i felt the warm salt gargle helped with the throat... but that just sounds way too dirty
