Is it a sex blog? A mommy blog? A bitch & moan blog? Um, . . . yeah. This is my place to be totally honest. In my real life, I feel like I'm always lying to somebody about something. Here, I am totally honest. Brutally so. However, no matter what bad things I say about my kids, I adore them and would never ever really, say, sell them on Ebay. The husband, often referred to as Spousehole, is another story. Oh yeah - if you are under 18 (or if you are my husband), please leave now.

Super Bowl refuses ad for extramarital hook-ups

Apparently those paragons of virtue at the Super Bowl have refused an advertisement from Ashley Madison, a website that assists married folks with hooking up with other married folks (and not the ones to whom they are married). You mean the NFL has standards?

Who would have thunk? Unfortunately, it not done out of virtue, but fear. Which makes them more pathetic than if the did run the add, me thinks. C:)

Remember, GoDaddy.com has already had ads refused for the SuperBowl as well... but it is generally the network and the the NFL that approves/Rejects the ads.

Football players never cheat on their wives/girlfriends. Conversely, the wives/girlfriends are always faithful in return too.

That doesn't really surprise me in the least -- the NFL, as a business, has nothing to gain by running it. Simple business decision.

At first glance I thought they rejected a commercial, and I thought "Where on earth would a website like that get that kind of cash?" But it turns out is was for an ad in the game program booklet.

Of professional leagues, the NFL does a pretty good job of working to maintain its image. It may be kind of hypocritical to not run the add, when NFL players are...well...being human (read: stupid).

I think they made the right decision IF a decision was actually made. I have some doubt that these heathens made a serious attempt to purchase ad space.

Sounds like an attempt to get free publicity via the blogosphere and the inner-nets to me.

ok, I could see if the ad had a player in it maybe... *lol* but seriously, in these rougher economic times... I'm just wondering how good the ol' AM business is (certainly good if you judge by AM-related blog count) to afford the price of 30 Super seconds...

It is rather interesting that CBS shut down Ashley Madison, yet they support spousal abuse by tolerating Charlie Sheen. Anyway, forget stupid SB commercials - see the game live!!!!
