Is it a sex blog? A mommy blog? A bitch & moan blog? Um, . . . yeah. This is my place to be totally honest. In my real life, I feel like I'm always lying to somebody about something. Here, I am totally honest. Brutally so. However, no matter what bad things I say about my kids, I adore them and would never ever really, say, sell them on Ebay. The husband, often referred to as Spousehole, is another story. Oh yeah - if you are under 18 (or if you are my husband), please leave now.

Truth or Dare!
Truth: What is the most embarrassing thing you have done/have happened during sex?
Well there was this one time, at band camp . . .
Okay, not really. It took place right here in this house. It was before we had kids, back when Spousehole and I partook of the hot monkey love on a regular (some might say, obsessive) basis. We were going at it, hot and heavy, when I attained the pinnacle of sexual pleasure (orgasm, okay?) Right in the middle of it, with Spousehole pounding away at me, I passed gas. Loudly. Not smelly or anything, but not something one could really ignore either. It sounded like the air brakes on a school bus - pshoooo. Spousehole laughed his ass off and it was several minutes before he could resume and finish because he was laughing too hard.
Bonus embarrassing thing - I 've told this before, but here it is again:
When we had been married about 8 months, my husband and I had spent a long weekend at my parents' house. There was never really any privacy there, so we were anxious to get busy when we got home. Undressing as we went up the stairs, kissing hungrily, hands everywhere - you get the idea. The sex was athletic, acrobatic, and, ultimately, dangerous. I moved forward as he moved in to kiss me and WHAM! My forehead, his nose. Blood everywhere, nose crooked. We ended up spending the next few hours in the emergency room. It was broken, but good. Every nurse, doctor, or aide started off by asking, "How did this happen?" By the end of the night we thought it was pretty funny. He still likes to tell people how I broke his nose. Including my parents and our pastor.

TMI Tuesday
1. How many cell phones have you had? How long have you had your current cell phone number?
5, I think, starting with a bag phone way back when (1992?), with the lead acid battery that weighed a ton or so. I've had my current number for almost 7 years. I've had the same damn handset that long as well. How sad is that?
2. Where was the last place you had sex?
PiC's house, in the bed he shares with his wife. That's awful, isn't it?
Also awful is that it has been almost 6 weeks and I'm really, really horny lately.
3. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with your love life? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
2. That's overall. My sex life is -5, but love is pretty good right now. In fact, Spousehole sent me a Mother's Day/Anniversary gift and it's nice JEWELRY and he sent a sweet card and note with it. He tells me he loves me every time we talk on the phone and sounds like he really means it. We are closer than we've been in a long, long time, even though he is physically 1100 miles away.
4. Does Bliss sound like a fun game to you? Have you ever played it?
Never heard of it before today. After checking out the website, it does sound like fun. I doubt I could get Spousehole to play it though. He takes sex so damn seriously.
5. Is there anything or anyone you would be willing to die for?
My children. I'll do anything for them.
Bonus (as in optional): If you were (or had) a magic genie and could only grant wishes for others and you only had three left, what would they be and who would they be for?
For my sister to find a high-paying, fulfilling job once she finishes school this summer. (The factory where she worked closed and she is getting retraining courtesy of Congress' NAFTA-TAA retraining initiative for workers "displaced" by their companies moving to Mexico for cheaper labor).
For my parents to win the lottery (and no, the fact that my sis and I would inherit any leftovers is NOT a factor!).
For Spousehole to be happy (because when he's happy, the kids and I are happy)

Despite all her rage, she is still just a cat in a cage
Remember I told you about how I was going to have to put my crazy cat to sleep? My soft-hearted, animal-loving father couldn't stand that idea. He initially agreed that putting her down was likely the best option, but it's been bugging him ever since. Today he took my crazy cat home. He took the rabbit pen she's been living in, so she will have her familiar home (besides, my mother would rather not have a crazy peeing cat running around the house).
Surprisingly, my other two cats ("the boys") are quite disturbed to find crazy cat gone. They are pacing, looking at me suspiciously, and just generally agitated. I have no idea what they think happened to her. They didn't seem to care when she moved to the cage and refused to leave, but her being gone from the house entirely bothers them. Go figure. (On the other hand, I don't think they've yet noticed that Spousehole is gone.)
As my dad said, he hasn't met a cat yet that didn't warm up to him, so hopefully she will come to like my dad. She let him pet her on the drive to their town, which is a good sign. She refused to come out of the cat carrier when they arrived, however. She used to do that at the vet too. I would have to unscrew the carrier and take it apart to get her out. You can turn it so that the door opening (door removed) is facing straight down and she'll hang on with her little stumps (she's declawed) and not come out.
She will be living in her familiar rabbit pen in my dad's basement. Unlike our basement, which is used for storage and laundry, my parents' basement is finished and is where my dad works (he's been retired for 11 years, but is busier than most working people). He's down there all the time escaping from my mother working on his income-producing hobbies. She'll have regular company. The interesting part will be seeing how she and my parents' cat and dog interact. The dog doesn't go to the basement as much as he used to, since he's 16 and would usually rather sleep than haul his geriatric self down the stairs and back up again (though he still goes for 1-2 mile walks everyday - he's no invalid, even at his age) . The cat, however, is not likely to appreciate another feline in her house. Another interesting thing will be when my dad tries to wash my cat. His dog and cat get regular baths (the dog weekly, the cat every-other-week). His cat LIKES to get a bath, but mine is afraid of her own shadow (literally). She has had baths, when we had a flea problem a few years back, but didn't care for it AT ALL. My father has lived 72 years, surviving a triple-bypass, carotid endarectomy, and nearly 60 years of smoking. This cat may kill him. If nothing else, he could bleed to death (she has back claws and sharp teeth). After that, he may decide to put her down after all.

Overrated!*
Overrated: Coffee from the Northwestern United States, i.e., Starbucks and Seattle's Best.

Don't get me wrong, I love a skinny Caramel Macchiato as much as the next girl, but overall Starbucks and it's little brother Seattle's Best are extremely overrated, IMO.
Have you ever had their coffee or espresso not in latte form? Without cream or something to mellow it, it often tastes burned like they are over-roasting the beans. Nas. Tee.
What is with their sizing? The smallest size is a "Tall?" I know, some Starbucks have "short" now, which is - surprise - actually smaller than tall. But they don't have "short" in my area. I really thought smaller than tall would be called "extra tall." Seems more Starbucksy if they had called it extra tall. Oh well. I'm not the only one who finds their sizing annoying. Seattle's Best also serves Tall and Grande, but instead of Venti they serve "Grande Supremo." What. Ever.
Can you say "overpriced?" Holy crap - I can get the same damn drinks at my neighborhood coffee shop (where they roast their beans right there in the store - OMG, it smells so good!) for half the price. $4+ for a simple latte? WTF? I can go to McDonald's - McDonald's! - and get a cheaper, just as tasty mocha or latte. Seriously. Even 7-11 or Speedway can be just as good (though don't get me started on that extra caffeinated coffee at Speedway. OMG - insane.).
The Starbucks coffee houses are so cookie cutter as to be BO-O-O-RING. The local neighborhood coffee shops at least have character. I love the hippie-dippie staff, the handmade signs, and the little sign at the register that says "We accept Visa, MC, Discover, Amex, Diner's Club, debit cards, checks, cash and YOU, just the way you are." And they CHARGE to use their wi-fi at most Starbucks (in my area, at least). Um, yeah my local coffee shop has FREE wi-fi, in addition to cheaper, better tasting coffee. Sheez. Even McDonald's gives you an hour of free wi-fi connection with a purchase.
Starbucks (and little bro Seattle's Best)? Way OVERrated.

HNT - Yellow
I went shopping this week and bought something I've never had before - a yellow bra! It's bright and spring-y and makes me feel all sunshiny. Hope you like it too!
